Many scientists, engineers, and visionaries believe that within the next decade, artificial intelligence will have revolutionized our lives — not all at once, but slowly and under the radar.

Movies like Her and Ex Machina (both of which are excellent!) explore potential avenues of us humans interacting with AI entities. While some technological innovators think that artificial intelligence will quickly surpass human intelligence, others aren’t so convinced. Many speculate that at least the AI of the near future will take on a more non-human existence, perhaps not so dissimilar to a pet dog.

In a totally separate area of technology, multiple billion dollar companies have their sights on establishing interplanetary travel. Eventually, this will transition to intergalactic travel, with the goal of spreading humans far and wide throughout the universe.
