When the novel coronavirus pandemic started drastically affecting small businesses across the world, many dog trainers began (if they weren’t already) offering virtual sessions. I think this is a fabulous opportunity for more owners to access professional advice!

Virtual dog training sessions make it possible to:

  • Reach out to more trainers without being limited by your immediate geographical area

  • Record your sessions to watch back and take additional notes

  • Obtain help with your dog even if you are unable to travel

  • In some cases pay a reduced fee to make advice more accessible

Personally, I’ve had several video chats with trainers like Jay Jack, Marko from 89K9, Jen from The Right Paw, and Grace from Urban Dog Leader. I’ve also used modern technology to simply interact with more fellow owners, too — I love getting on calls to talk dogs with folks in our Instagram community!
