Having healthy relationships is really important to me. Early into dating Haley, I read several books (both good and mediocre) to look for ideas on how to make our relationship strong in the long run.

After a lot of reading and a little bit of life experience, it turns out that amazing relationships take a lot of work and attention. (Shocking, right?) They also require honest self-analysis — and difficult conversations with yourself and your partner.

Healthy independence can lead to amazing interdependence

Maybe the most advertised idea in the relationship space is independence: Not needing someone to complete you, loving yourself first, and all that.
