Sometimes I feel like I live two lives.

This isn’t an intentional separation. There are no, like, secrets. (I would tolerate it terribly if there were.) But between physical distance and mental distractions—writing for clients, mulling over personal essays, exploring new places, diving into books—I sometimes feel like there is “Nomad Haley” and then “Wisconsin Haley”.
